The oldest part of Chinaillon village dates back to the 12th Century. Now the modern village offers all the requirements of a mountain resort with restaurants, bars and a lively “après ski”. However, the architecture of the village has been maintained in the authentic and traditional style of the Savoie
The Accommodation
The chalet is seperated into two large apartments. "The Lower Apartment is on the ground floor, and "The Upper Apartment" is on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Both apartments have their own entrances and terraces, and are totally self contained

The Location
The chalet is 5 minutes walk to the Main Street & shops, and a few minutes further to the ski lifts. Alternatively you can catch the ski bus to the ski lifts & Main Street , it stops across the road from the chalet. In season they run every 15 minutes.
The chalet is south facing with wonderful terraces to both apartments giving way to views of the ski slopes, the Col de Columbiere, and also down the valley. Both terraces have a large table with seating, loungers, and a barbecue area.
“Le Chinaillon” is approximately 1 hour from Geneva . From Geneva you can take the train, bus or taxi. Please see the web site www.legrandbornand.com for full information.
Facilities & Dining
At the heart of the Aravis ski area; the Chinaillon village is at an altitude of 1400 metres. With more than 200km of piste, and reaching 2100 metres, the pistes offer a range of challenges to skiers of all abilities. The lower slopes offer a beautiful skiing environment, and there are stunning views of the higher Alps from the summits of La Floria & Mont Lachat . There is plenty of “off piste” skiing for the more experienced skier too, (always use a local guide, and wear an AVRA avalanche beacon).
Summer in the Alps is equally beautiful and full of different adventures. Climbing, the Via Ferratta’s, swimming, horse-riding, golf, trekking, tennis, fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, para-gliding, ballooning, picnics with fantastic scenery, wild life, great weather, and great food. With it's South facing terraces, simply relaxing in the sun is a pleasure
Local babysitters are available, although the French always welcome children to their restaurants. The chalet has details of local restaurants etc. Pets by arrangement only.
Notes: Chalet Mirasol is comfortably furnished and equipped with books games and puzzles. The accommodation is let as self-catering. Helpful chalet staff, who live out are available to do extra cleaning, shopping, baby-sitting etc. if required.
